Talki 0.10.0 — GIFs, read receipts, and full Telegram media.
Version 0.10.0 focuses on communication quality: agents can now send GIFs with one-click presets, see when customers read their messages, share images and files through Telegram, and close tickets with a personal touch.

Highlights
GIPHY Picker with Quick Presets
Agents can now send GIFs directly from the helpdesk and widget — no copy-pasting URLs. A built-in GIPHY picker with quick-tag presets (Hello, Bye, Thank you, Working on it, Fixed, Sorry) lets support teams communicate personality without slowing down. The masonry grid loads trending and searched GIFs in a clean two-column layout.
Message Read Receipts
Every agent message now shows Sent or Read beneath the timestamp — updated in real time via WebSocket. Agents know the moment a customer has seen their reply. Customers see the same for their own messages. No more guessing whether the reply landed.
Full Telegram Media Passthrough
Photos, videos, audio, voice messages, documents, stickers, and animated GIFs sent from Telegram now flow directly into the Talki helpdesk — and vice versa. Agents can send files and images from the dashboard straight to the customer's Telegram thread. Media is routed to the correct Telegram API method automatically based on MIME type.
Close Ticket Modal with Farewell Message
Resolving a ticket now opens a modal before the status changes. Agents can type a closing message, pick a farewell GIF from GIPHY, or both — then confirm. The farewell message is sent first, then the ticket status changes, so the last thing the customer sees is a human sign-off, not a system notification.
Resolved Ticket UX
The widget now shows a clear resolved banner when a ticket is closed. Customers can still start a new conversation — which opens a fresh ticket rather than reopening the resolved one. The composer is blocked with a friendly prompt, not just greyed out silently.
Automatic Image Compression
Images uploaded via the widget or helpdesk are automatically compressed before upload — max 1920px on the longest side, JPEG at 85% quality. GIFs and files under 300 KB are skipped. Upload times drop significantly for customers on mobile connections.

Why it matters
Support is a human interaction happening inside a tool. Every friction point — not knowing if a message was read, having no way to add warmth to a closing message, losing media files in the Telegram handoff — creates a worse experience for both agents and customers.
0.10.0 removes those friction points one by one. Read receipts give agents confidence. GIF presets give them personality. The close-ticket modal gives them a proper send-off ritual instead of clicking a dropdown and moving on. And full Telegram media support means the Telegram bridge is now a first-class channel, not a text-only fallback.
Combined with the AI summaries and translation from 0.9.0, Talki now covers the full conversation lifecycle — from first message to human hand-off to resolved close.
